Description

The International African American Museum, in partnership with the Carolina Lowcountry and Atlantic World (CLAW) program and the Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture, invites you to an evening of reflection and dialogue with historian, author, and filmmaker Vincent Brown, featuring a screening of his latest film, How Do You Remember the Days of Slavery?

Following the screening, guests are invited to join a moderated discussion with Vincent Brown that delves into the film’s themes, creative process, and contemporary resonance. Together, we will explore how remembrance functions as both a historical practice and a form of diasporic connection — linking lives, stories, and struggles across time and place.

Program needs: Assist with program setup and breakdown, including chairs, signage, and materials. Support transitions and guest wayfinding as needed during the program.
