The International African American Museum invites you to join us for IAAM KING: A Day of Celebration, honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Following the YWCA’s annual MLK Day Parade, we invite you to join us at the Museum for an afternoon of complimentary admission, youth-centered activities, and family-friendly experiences that reflect Dr. King’s enduring vision of justice, equality, and community. Throughout the Museum, guests can look forward to uplifting and interactive experiences that inspire reflection, creativity, and connection. From engaging activities to meaningful moments of community, the day offers something for everyone to enjoy as we celebrate the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy together.
Volunteers will be asked to: Aid in managing transitions as guests move between the Main Lobby, Atlantic Worlds, and SC Connection. Provide wayfinding throughout the Museum to guide guest flow. Assist with Studio Time activities on rotation.
