This program will explore the ways Black artists and cultural producers have shaped narratives of identity, resisted systemic erasure, and redefined Blackness through art, music, and movement. Through conversation and performance, we will examine how creative expression functions as both a reflection of lived experience and an assertion of agency across the African Diaspora.
Featuring a curated discussion with artists and scholars, alongside a live jazz performance, this program offers an opportunity to engage deeply with the themes of the exhibition—honoring artistic traditions, reclaiming narratives, and reimagining possibilities for Black identity.
Volunteers for this event will be requested to be greeters and to register guests.
